Two things to check before you buy one. First, clearance at full extension: the 36 to 48 inches you need behind each chair has to exist when the table is at its longest, so measure the room against the extended length, never the everyday one. Second, where the leaves live: self-storing leaves stay inside the table, and separate leaves need a closet, so make sure you have somewhere to put them.
